New Delhi: Funding and support is issue that women entrepreneurs in India have again re-emerged. Most women founders have claimed that although they have talent and good ideas, they struggle raising funds as compared to their male counterparts.
It has been reported that there is a very low percentage of total start up financing to women led companies. Investors tend to pose more difficult questions to the women or question their capability to grow businesses. This complicates the process by making it tedious and cumbersome.
A number of founders were women who were present at startup events to share their experience. They claimed mentorship and networking opportunities are low also. It is believed that more women investors and female leaders are required to transform this attitude.
